I recently built a new BES server v4.1.4.15 and moved all Blackberries across. All sync'd fine. Any new contacts that have been added to Outlook or the address book on the blackberry since the initial movve across do not sync up.

Global PYM sync for address book on BES server shows:
Sync enabled - true
Sync type - Bidirectional
Conflict Resolution - Server wins.

Resending service book makes no difference.

The application log for those that have added contacts since the move show the following error:
(SYNC-DSession) Failed to get DbVersion UserControl object, can't sync this database

Any help gratefully received.

i.e. ON BES > Have you tried disabling wireless reconciliation on address book, resending service books, re-enabling wireless reconciliation on address book and resending service books?

ON BB > This turn off wireless reconcile in the address book, and leave it off for a few minutes. Then turn it back on, this ought to force a refresh of the Enterprise Activation process, and ought to pull everything into line.

Tried both options. No joy.

How do you enable wireless reconcilation because at the moment 1 of the blackberry's on the BES says disabled but i need to enable it.

Can you let me know how you do this?

Going to ask a really stupid question as it has just tripped me up.

Are all the BB services running on the BES?

Get the user to open the messages folder on BB, call up menu, select OPTIONS > EMAIL RECONCILIATION and change "Wireless Reconcile" from OFF to ON. Exit menu, saving changes.
