Default BES - Contacts Synch

Please Login to Remove!

I am having a problem with trying to synch the wirless contacts between the blackberry and Microsoft Outlook, we have a BES server with around 8 Blackberry's on and all of them don't work, e-mails and calender are fine!

I have tried re-starting the BES server, can anyone help?

Has this worked in the past, and just recently stopped synching?

Any errors in the logs on the BES?

Sounds like the synchronization service isn't running on the BES. I've seen that on mine once before.

Yes it used to work before but recently stopped working! No there is no errors in the log. But we have had countless problems with the BES Server before. Is there any thing in the BES server where you can re-do the synch contacts in the BES?

Please provide more details on your setup (OS, versions etc). Assuming Exchange, did you recently patch servers? It would be better to find the cause than just force a sync. But as you say you have has other problems in the past, was everything working as it should before this contact issue started?

I think I have seen on other threads that turning off address book sync then switching it back on will re sync the contacts (user props>PIM sync>address book). I know it works on the device side with the sb but not 100% on the BES side.

Actually, if you do go for the BES re-sync option, I would resend the service books between the disable and enable as per the mighty Jadey here -

Contacts\address book not syncing

Under contacts - options on the devices...check whether wireless syncronisation is on...
