Exclamation BES sent Items/Queue

Please Login to Remove!

We had an Internet outage this morning where our BES server is located, and some of the users said that their devices showed their emails as sent with the "check-mark"; however the emails were never received. Is there any way to confirm on the BES if the emails ever went out?

If the BES loses internet connection does it que any outbound messages?

We have searched/tracked messages exchange for the messages, but we're unable to locate them.

If the messages haven't gone, you normally get a red "X" in front of the message.

If your BES has the internet connection interrupted, the mails will not hit your BES as they are coming from one of the RIM relay servers via internet to your BES.

To check if the messages ever went out, the users should check in their Outlook "Sent Items" folder.

They might of seen a check mark initially but probably turn into an X later when it could contact the server. You should see all activity in the BES MAGT log. Keep in mind that if the message didn't make it to BES cause of the outage you will not see it in the log.

Message to the BlackBerry will queue if connection is down.
