Default Customer Needs to Manage Another User's Exchange Calendar from Their BlackBerry

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

I have a request from the administrative assistant of a very high-profile customer in our environment, who needs to manage her boss's Exchange calendar from her BlackBerry. Both customer's are on Exchange 2007. The administrative assistant is set up with Delegate access for her boss's calendar on Exchange. However, her boss wants her to see his calendar on a BlackBerry assigned to her, so that she can manage his calendar when she is away from the office.

From what I have researched, this does not seem possible. Hence, I am posting this here before the experts.

I'll move this to BES Admin Corner, but AFAIK this is not possible without 3rd party tools.

I'm assuming, but you didn't mention it, that the "high-profile customer" uses a blackberry now?

If so, then there isn't a way to have 2 devices for 1 mailbox that I know of.

it is knot a bad idea, unless they need real secure devices.

We are going to use Mobile Documents from Wicksoft (WICKSoft Corporation) to accomplish the same thing. Wicksoft has a server piece and a client app for the blackberry. The admin asst can use the wicksoft app on their blackberry to access the boss's calendar and make any changes that the asst would have in Outlook.

You might want to look into a program called Add2Exchange by Diditbetter.

This program will sync Public folders to private, vice versa, as well as contacts and tasks for use on BBs.

I've had excellent experience with this - the guys are great as far as installation/tech support, and it is very versatile as far as syncing intervals and such.

good luck!
