I'd like all my handsets to have the Internet Browser, and WAP Browser available but not the MDS Browser.

I have set "Browser Policy Group|Allow IBS Browser=TRUE" and "Global Items|Browser=FALSE".

This works fine with 8310s and has the desired effect. On 8110 however (v4.3.0.93), the Internet Browser seems not to be available.

How can I obtain this browser for the Pearl?

Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table, press the scroll wheel and select Register Now.

Internet Browser is now availabkle. This is slightly odd as the handset had already registered!

After deleting the Service Book to verify the consistency of the process, I can no longer obtain this service book.

I also have another handset on which I can't obtain this service book, and have wiped, reactivated, resent service books, reregisteed in host roputing table all to no avail.

I have managed to obtain the Blackberry Internet Browsing service book again by deleting my vodafone WAP service book and re-registering/resending service books. On one of my 8100s I can't make this happen no matter what I do. I rang VF and they informed me that all service books come from the BES server, no-one (6 users) seem to have this service book by default. IBS Browser=TRUE in the IT Policy.

Does anyone know how to specify a service book you want pushed out to everybody? I don't want to delete service books on each handset that is deployed on this server, i'd like to get this working OTA.

VF haven't got a clue as per usual, they sent some for me the other day. The main SBs come from the BES but it sounds here like they have mis-provisioned the phone. Assuming you are happy that the SIM is correctly provisioned, ring them and tell them to resend the enterprise SBs to the phone and ensure BIS is working. See what happens...... If still no joy, then tell your Business Manager that they are losing money as you can't use VF live due to a tech screw-up and see how long it takes for them to fix it

Called Vodafone and asked to resend the Enterprise service books. This did not help. However he was able to ensure that the SIM was fully provisioned and the Service books came straight through.

I find it a bit odd that all six handsets have not picked up this particular service book without intervention though!

Glad you are sorted, and welcome to the land of mobile carriers . Unfortunately nowadays I always assume it's their end after 20 mins of the basic checks, and 9 times out of 10 I find it was worth ringing them after those 20 mins. It doesn't help that the L1 guys all know different things, so you go away thinking it can't physically be them when it quite plainly can.
