Default Upgrade From Bps 4.1 To Bes 4.1

Hi

I have BPS 4.1 server connecting to MS exchange 2000 and MS SQL 2005 which I would like to upgrade to a BES 4.1 server connecting to MS exchange 2000 and MS SQL 2005. Any ideas, hints or tips will help. I am still a newbie on

IMHO wait a couple of weeks for 5.0 to come out.

To upgrade to BES 4.1 full version, you will have to fork out $$$ to upgrade - of the top of my head $3k.

With 5.0 round the corner - you might want to wait for it, get clarity into what is happening with regards to an SBE version and pricing etc before doing anything.

Thats what I think - maybe I'm wrong...

Thanks for the advise though. I actually got the software and an additional 20 CAL's from RIM for free, so I will just mosh on with this version. If you have any ideas or tips it will be cool. Thanks for warning about the pricing!

Hahaha! Yeah we are a fairly big construction company in South Africa. I guess RIM over here want to get into our good books since that will mean a lot more business for them!

We are now on 10 users for BPS. The BES 4.1 is a full version.

IIRC you can install BES over it and use the new SRP during the install.

Should knot be too painfull to do. Might take about 20-30 min if BPS is on dedicated server.
