We have a few users here who use a different domain as their primary email address. One of those users got a BB a couple of weeks ago and has been having nothing but problems. We've been able to activate her, but then after a efw days she'll stop receiving emails. Now, it seems that activation won't work. She had her BB replaced, as we suspected it could be that. It didn't matter.

As I was re-adding her to the BES server today, I happened to notice that it's selecting another address assigned to her account, even though she doesn't use it. For example, most of our users use (for example) abc.com. This user uses xyz.com. We set the primary email as firstname.lastname@. However, the first initial.lastname@ also exist as a result of legacy email addresses left over from a previous instance of the company. I was able to eliminate most of the extra emails for her, but in BES the first initial.lastname@ is being selected instead of her firstname.lastname@. I'm wondering if that is the problem now.

sometimes we have the same problem. When activating a new user it has selected an alias address rather than the primary one. Never figured out why.

my (4.1.6.9) BES will occasionally use a non-primary address and reloading the user will generally fix this. I've also seen it load a user as a secondary address, then revert to the Primary after a couple of minutes. YMMV
