Default Bold Can send but can't receive

Please Login to Remove!

I didn't think this belonged in the 9000 thread becaue I'm pretty sure that it isn't device related. I have an employee with a bold on the BES, can send email, all PIM data syncs great. Device will not receive BES email. BB Manager shows that it is updating the device with the email, but it just doesn't arrive. No filters set, wireless reconcilliation is on. Customer can send/rec a personal gmail account no problem.

I just wiped the device and EA'd, same exact issue, BES happily updating the device but email just isn't pushing to device.
Exchange, checked, no rules, mailbox size issues, etc. We are stumped, I'm purging from BES and will try again, any ideas?

If you send a <confirm> message to the device, do you receive a Delivery Confirmation message back?

Also make sure they have their mailbox selected in folder redirection.

Messages > Options > Email Settings > Menu Key > Folder redirection. I had a user earlier today that had her mailbox unchecked and mail wasn't being forwarded to her device.

Check Date and Time on your Bold. If Date/Time is in the past new messages are at the end of the message list. Press the "u" button to get to the first unread message.

Also check your mail filters.

This just started with me today. I can send enterprise mail from my Bold, but cannot receive it.

I also am having a similar problem with a POP account that's been working fine.

Have you followed any of the trouble shooting steps listed above?

When reactivated, were you removed/re-added on the BES or just set an EA password?

I'm wondering if deleting/re-adding you on the BES will make a difference.

I would definately remove and re-add on the BES. I had a screwy issue like this today with one of my users. I could even send him a <confirm> message and would get the Delivery Confirmation but the message just wasn't there (I even did Delete Prior to delete everything from the Messages app first!).

I wound up wiping his device then removing/readding on the BES and everything cleared up. I'm having a monkey friend check the BES log files for me to see if he finds anything that points to a cause. If he does I'll post back.

Possibly a former BBF Mod?

Default Same issue resolved

I had this very issue and tried everything including removing from BES and readding. Ultimately I was forward from AT&T to RIM support and then to advanced support. We first removed a suspect Facebook application but that didn't do it so they removed my PIN and created a new one. After a reboot I was back in business.

Of course that is only a small problem next to all the others i'm experiencing. but hopefully the warranty replacement will address the issue.
