OK... a user sends an email from her BB doing the following steps:

To: Does a lookup for a name, adds that name
BCC: Does a lookup for her name, adds her name

She sends the message and it appears in her Lotus Notes inbox, but never appears on the BB. I checked the BES logs (MAGT) and see only one entry for that event.

I do this on my device and I see three events in the BES logs with the same RID and the message is delivered to the handheld.

The question is where would I find information as to where that message disappeared to?

It has not disappeared, your view is set to not show sent items.

Go into the e-mail app, select Options from the menu, then go into General Options, change Hide Sent Items to NO

OK... check it out... she BCCs herself on an email sent from her BB.

She does not get the message on her BB. She sees it in her LN inbox.

This would not explain why the email would not show on the BB inbox...

Exactly. And when I look in the logs and compare to my device doing the same thing, I do not see any entry for the email being delivered to the device. So where, if anywhere, can I track a failed message and/or why the message failed?

I may just call RIM this afternoon.

Is the user's mailbox setup for redirection on her device?

Messages > Options > Email Settings > Menu Key > Folder Redirection. I had a user with a similar issue. Her Mailbox was unchecked.

Thanks yes, this is set up correctly. Plus she gets other messages on her BB... it just seems to be when she BCCs herself on a message sent from the BB.
