Default Upgrade and fix help please

Please Login to Remove!

First off, our bes is running as a vm.

I attempted to upgrade our bes, 4.1.3 to 4.1.6 (sp6). The database upgrade failed returning an error saying that it could not execute an sql command. It stopped me there, but emails were still flowing.

I then read that if you change the name of the server, it would fix the issue. So, i changed the name of the server back to what it was and tried it again. It pulled our old database and could not connect to the new one. I backed out and reverted to a snapshot that was about a week old. Now, I can email from my blackberry to my desktop, but not vice versa. The blackberry manager shows that there are a lot of pending messages for all of our users and those numbers keep changing, up and down, but there are no emails coming across.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

UPDATE:

Users are receiving emails from dates at and after the snapshot date. It seems as if the blackberry server "thinks" that its actually may 1st and has been playing catchup with all of the previous emails. I am on the phone with BBerry technical support.

Thought so. I had a similar issue a few weeks ago. BES needed to play catch-up. No clue what caused it. I disabled calendar sync for all of the users to help speed up the process. It's not necessary to do. No clue on what caused the issue. Check your CTRL log and see if you're getting a lot of hung threads during the health check.
