Default Blackberry Instant Messenger Auditing Broken

Currently I am running BES 4.1.6 w/ approx 550 users. I use the Blackberry Mesenger Auditing feature to audit BB IMs. We are currently in the process of rolling out the new Curve 8900 and it seems that users with the new device are having an issue with the audiiting. For example If an 8900 user sends someone a BB IM then they might have 50-100 audit reports per day in their sent items. The only way to stop the mass amount of sending is to pull the battery, restting the device. Has anyone else expereinced this or have an idea on what to try in order to resolve.
