We're having an issue at the office with backing up and restoring BES accounts. Our Hosted Exchange provider Rackspace wants us to migrate the few users we have with them over to the Exchange 07 environment.

One of the issues is that the BES accounts need to be reactivated but none of the information from BES is getting transferred (personal settings outside of exchange information).

What we'd typically do is backup the blackberries using Desktop Manager throught he cable... then wipe the blackberry, activate it on the new BES server then restore from the backup.

The backup is restoring the raw information (pictures, sms messages etc) but none of the personal settings (folders, ring tones, signatures etc)

Why is this happening? Should I restore before reactivating the BES on the new server?

this doc of migrating to 2007 mentions nothing about EA when going to 2007.
