Default Calendar not sync - 05-26-2009, 03:28 AM

Hi

If I send mails or add contacts on my blackberry, it will sync over wireless network to my Outlook, but not with my calendar changes.

Calender only updates from Outlook to Blackberry, but not from Blackberry to Outlook.

I am using Blackberry Manager 4.1

Are you using Blackberry Enterprise Server and Exchange? Please tell us more about your environment.

make sure your collaboration service log as BESAdmin, and check your store exchange is not corrupt or full.

The collaboration service has absolutely nothing to do with calendar synchronization; rather it deals with corporate IM integration.

Assuming you're using Exchange (because you're using Outlook) ... what version are you using?

Default Sync using DM while wiresless sync enabled - 06-12-2009, 11:05 AM

Is there a way to re-sync my entire Outlook calendar onto my BB? Since wiping my BB in the past, a lot of appointments have dropped off my BB, but still remain in Outlook. On the BB I have it set to keep appointments forever, but after each wipe it resets the retention to 30 days. Is it possible to use Desktop Mgr ONE TIME ONLY to sync all old appts to my BB? I prefer to keep all appointments for ever on the BB, to match Outlook.

Side note: My BES Admin already tried a "Force Calendar Synchronization to the user's Blackberry" and had me also turn off & turn back on wireless sync in the hopes that would re-sync my entire Outlook calendar, but no luck.

Strike 2

The BlackBerry Messaging Agent controls the OTA calendar sync not the BlackBerry Synchronization Service.

8830 -> 8330 -> 9550 -> 9650
Just think about how far BlackBerries have come from then till now... And what else is coming.

No, after an activation, messages and calendar entries are only populated for a certain amount of time in the past ("Prepopulation").

You have to consider the Blackberry as a tool to manage the most recent stuff. Holding everything for an indefinite amount of time would exceed the memory capabilities of the device.

You could try the following (but it will probably not bring back more than 30 days, haven't tested myself):

In your calendar, go to options and type rset

This will erase and resync you calendar.
