We have an sql server and a seperat server that has Exchange 2003 with the Blackberry Manager software and Handheld configuration software. I can't seem to get the Blackberry Manager software to connect to the sql server or at least the message is "unable to connect". I checked the ODBC connections and the SQL shows a successful test. I have tried using Windows Authentication and the SQL username and password.

Unfortunately a co-worker, that bailed and went to a better company, setup the software so I have no idea what I'm doing.

Ideas?

Really, if you have nothing helpful to offer up then keep the comments to yourself.

Post the Manager Log and we should be able to help. It's the log containing the word MNGR.

Also make sure TCP/IP and Named Pipes are enabled on the SQL Server. This can be verified through the svrnetcn utility.

Is your SQL on a remote cluster? I have noticed in the past, if you are using a shared SQL, there is a port conflict on ODBC connection. change default port and then try it again
