Question HTML and Unread Messages - 11-17-2005, 12:57 AM

Hello,

Since upgrading my version of BES for Groupwise to Sp2 and hotfix 2, all of my users can no longer read any email's that are sent in HTML. They are just blank, and there is no option to download more or open an attachment. All we get is the sender, subject and other message information at the top, and then below the seperator line there is nothing.

The second problem we are having since this upgrade is that all emails that are forwarded to the handhelds, always stay as "unread" regardless if they have been read or deleted from the desktop client. However, if you open a message on the handheld, it appears as "read" on the desktop.

Has anyone else had these problems, or any ideas on what could be causeing this, and steps to resolve this?

Thanks
steery

Hi,

we are having the exact same problem with opened mail from Groupwise client not marking as read on Blackberry.

We installed the BES Groupwise SP2 earlier this week which seems to be when the problem started.

Haven't noticed any problems with HTML messages, but we'll check this out too.

Just about to apply hotfix 2 for SP2 on advice from our supplier. Not too hopeful as this issue is not mentioned anywhere in the hotfix release notes.

Update - this article on Blackberry support site has the answer that worked for us

http://www.blackberry.com/knowledgec...78846&vernum=0

Updated the Groupwise client on BES to 6.5 sp5 and problem seems to be resolved.

Hope this helps someone.
