Default Reconcile now option missing - 11-17-2005, 06:12 AM

Hi - not sure if this is the right area to post but hey.

We are running BES on Win2k3 Server and have about 7 BlackBerry 7290 Wireless Handheld units.

On two of these we have problems with email reconciliation with outlook 2003. On the blackberrys the "Reconcile Now" option isn't in the email menu.
Also when you go to Options in email and then Email reconciliation the only option you can change is Delete on... I have changed this to say mailbox and Handheld but the other settings for mailbox wins are not there. I have saved the settings and even tried taking the battery out but these items never appear and the two BB do not reconcile??

Any ideas???

Try doing a back up of the berry and wipe it. Do enterprise activation again or desktop activation. Also, is your handheld software up to date? 7290's latest public Rev is V.4.0.2.49.

Get your software up to date. But strange that no other options are showing. I would reactivate them after reloading them on the BES

Default -= 4.0 handheld software need =- - 11-23-2005, 08:41 AM

... If handheld_software_version < 4.0 Then
-> upgrade to 4.0

"Reconcile Now" does not always permenantly stay on the menu, RIM fixed that in 4.0 code line

There are several Knowledge Base articles that touch on this issue, but none of them worked for me. We had around 6 out of 30 BBs that had this same issue. We had a mix of different models as well (7250, 7290).

RIM finally told us to shutdown BES (we run Domino 6.5.4), and rename/move the Bes\blackberryprofiles.nsf database to a seperate directory outside the Domino data directories. Restart BES, and the database will be rebuilt using all of the info from the SQL database. After the database was rebuilt, I waited a few hours, and resent each user the Service Books. Worked perfecly!
