Enabling the IT policy Disable IP Modem does not restrict BlackBerry smartphone users from being able to make successful connections using BlackBerry internet protocol (IP) modem functionality.

Resolution
This is a previously reported issue that has been escalated internally to our development team. No resolution time frame is currently available.

If RIM posted a KB article I'm sure there are some cases that this is indeed true; especially with SDRs.

I never actually tried this myself cuz I was expecting this should work all the time. I guess if there is a KB posted on the BlackBErry web site, then it must be true and so far on solution for it.
I don't have a BES environment so I cannot try it myelf. Just wonder if any BES admin tried it on CDMA BB and experienced the same issue?

I'll be honest I've never tried it ... I've also never heard of anyone saying it doesn't work.
