Default BES and Exchange 03, how does it communicate?

Please Login to Remove!

How does BES communicate with exchange? is it MAPI or SMTP?

Is there any reason why an exchange server would be affected by BES scanning the mailboxes?

Thanks.

MAPI

Not sure what you're asking in regards to BES scanning the mailboxes.
Can you elaborate on your question?

Yes ... when a BES is scanning a mailbox it is adding load to that Exchange server. More I/O = less resources for other tasks.
