I searched for a similar problem, but couldn't find anything. I'm upgrading a current BES 4.1.4 client from SBS 2003 and Exchange 2003 to SBS 2008 and Exhcange 2007. Created the new DB, moved the install files to the new server to be run by BESAdmin, but that's where I get hung up. When I run setup.exe I get the standard Windows needs to close this program window, and the installation stops. I've checked online but there doesn't seem to be anything related to this. I've tried running in Server 2003 compatibility mode, which produced the same results.

I'm on a different machine at the moment, will post Event Log Entry when I can copy it down.

Any ideas?

BES 4.x will not install on Windows Server 2008. No way around it. Install it in a VM or on another host.
