Default Upgrading bes 3.6 Enterprise to (exchange) to 4.0. PROBLEMS

Setup:
BES Enterprise Mangagement server 3.6 ( server 1)
SQL 2000 (server 2)

I tried to run upgrade on it last night and I kept getting database failed to upgrade and the install stops.

I tried to do the phased upgrade but RIMS Install notes were horrible.
Ran install from command line by editing the .cfg file and doing the database upgrade wich ran fine but then when it asked to migrate users it got confusing. It then asks you to run the setup.exe from the CD and that basically started the install all over again and failed during the DB upgrade.

Has anyone tried this that could help me out.

Thanks

Export all your users, IT Policies, and license keys. Delete the database(back it up somewhere first). Create a new database during the installation. It will take a while for the BES 4.0 to get all the users's e-mail flowing again...maybe a couple hours. There are posts on this just a couple months old that outline this in more detail.
