Question Setting up a new BES, which DB to use?

Well, if anybody remembers I was in the midst of setting up a new BES to replace my current BES 4.0 unit. I am doing a completely fresh install on new hardware within a VM environment.

I was told to go with BES 4.1.6 but I may go forward with BES 5 since there aren't many complaints floating around about it.

My question is, my company may go forward with installing a SQL Server Standard/Enterprise solution in a few months time, but I need to install the BES now. I would eventually be running two BES environments from this office. I would like for them to share the same database if we do pursue the full SQL solution.

In the mean time, can I install my new BES and use a SQL Express DB? Can I then move the DB over to the new SQL server if/when it is implemented?

I hope that makes sense.

Thank you both for your replies. And by doing this, I can enable the seamless transfer of users from one BES to the next? As long as they are both using SQL?
