Ok, I searched all day but nothing solves the problem.
Fairly new to BB management compared to you so pls have mercy!

I changed 5 of our blackberries from BIS to BES.
All went and works well except the contacts and notes don't synch with outlook/exchange.
Using a 2003 server with exchange. All is further up to date with latest versions.(In devices and on server)

In the blackberry (new curve 8900) the option for wireless synch in contacts is set to Not Available and i can not change it. Under notes/options there is no option for synching at all.
In the management console on the server it is set to synch also contacts and notes.

I wiped the data from the curve (not OS), resent service books, deleted desktop [synch] etc...
Should I wipe the whole blackberry and reinstall OS?
Is it still BIS infected?
Buy new devices?
Any pointers?

I am in the Netherlands. If there is a BBexpert here who I can talk to (over phone eventually) I could also give you acces to the server so that the settings can be checked.

Sorry again, I read a whole lot of topics about this (also on other forums) but cannot find the solution.

so you deleted the Desktop[SYNC] service book ... waited a minute and then resent service books from the server?

yes, that is correct.
Any help is much appreciated.

For one device and one device only I'd recommend wiping it and reactivating it ... Did notes / contacts sync during the enterprise activation?

I think that right after enterprise activation notes/contacts synched yes. 99% sure of that.
What is the best method to wipe completely? (jl comander or any other method)
Which OS version do you suggest I install?

Simply wipe the handheld from the security screen ... as far as OS; use the newest one released by your carrier or check out Current BlackBerry handheld OS releases - Port3101.org : Your BES Connection
