I would like to move our database to another server. Does anyone have any info on how to do this on BES 5.0?

correct me if im wrong but the SQL admin (if not the same as BES admin) needs to run some scripts on the destination sql server.
then stop BES services.
then do sql backup of database.
then do sql restore of database to destination sql server.
then change the BES application to point to new database.

lol i just assumed you were using sql. there's definitely a kb article on this on the blackberry site.

Hi there,

Pretty much the steps are the same as with 4.1 except for one major exception, BES 5.0 does not have a "change database" button.

Follow the steps for backing up and restoring the database etc, however to configure BES 5.0 to use a different SQL Server/Database then you need to re-run the setup.exe from the source of the BES 5.0 installer. During the setup simply select the new SQL Server/Database.

Once the setup has completed you will have to re-apply any post BES 5.0 MR's (Maintainence Releases) & ISSU's (Interim ecurity Software Updates) etc.

I hope that makes sense.
