Default BB Desktop Redirector

Please Login to Remove!

I have a user who is new to our company. She came from an org of which she had use of their BES. We've wiped her BB to get rid of that policy, and we are considering having her just use the BB Desktop Redictor to re-route her outlook activities. Does she have to have the Enterprise activation to use the redirector?

Any help is appreciated!

Might want to rethink Redirector. Not a very good app at all, plus I think RIM has, or is soon to, drop support.

For email and wireless calendar and contacts, a hosted BES solution would work well, or use BIS for email and GoogleSync for OTA contacts and calendar.

Angry Can't get off the BES!!

I NEED HELP! I used to be on my former company's BES. IT guy says he has removed me from the BES, but every time I try to synch my 9530 using BB Desktop s/w, I get an error message saying I need to disable the wireless synch function, but I don't see how to do it in the desktop software. My former IT guy says I need to tell my 'redirector' that I am no longer on the BES. FYI, he did NOT wipe my BB. Again, I NEED HELP!!!

Jessie - you need to remove the IT Policy on your BlackBerry.

Go to BlackBerry FAQ - BlackBerryFAQ and look for the section on removing an IT Policy.

Thanks so much. I thought that's what I needed to do, as I've been researching this for some time. It says, "don't do this unless you know what you're doing!" so I was hesitant to try it. I'm a sofware geek, and know little about code of any kind. All of my contact info is in Outlook, so I guess I won't lose any data. I'll try...eeeeek. Expanding my horizons!
