We are about to stand up a BES from scratch in a Win2k8/Exch07/BES5 environment. During our review of all BES policies I was asked if there is a way to set it so after 10 failed password attempts if its possible to just make the device locked out for a period of time rather than a wipe. After searching, I couldn't find the answer. Can anyone help me? Thanks.
That isn't possible. Honestly it really isn't necessary imo. As the user gets to like the 3rd wrong pw it makes you type "BLACKBERRY" to even get to the 4th attempt and then I think it's twice more at 7 and 9. If someone is (I would say dumb enough but will say not smart enough) to heed that warning and call the administrator, then the device should be wiped.
