Default BES IT Policy

Please Login to Remove!

Does anyone know if it's possible to set an IT Policy that will only apply to some users on the BES but not all? I am looking at introducing a new security policy and I would like to test it out on a few users before rolling it out to all.

Running Bes 4.1.6.

Thanks.

Maybe I am missing exactly what you are asking but you can certainly create multiple IT policies and assign them to which ever users you want. An IT Policy will only apply to those users you assign it to. It that what you are asking?

Yeah. Essentially what I am asking is can an IT Policy be created and only applied to some, not all, users?

Absolutely! YOU choose which it policy gets applied to which users. You assign them however you want. You can create as many IT policies as you want.

I'm just curious... What are some of your favorite policies and why?

Just to add on, you can only have 1 IT Policy assigned to a user at a time.

Can't you put the user in a Group and assign the Group multiple IT policies?

Another question regarding this - The defualt IT Policy wipes the device if an incorrect password is entered 10 times. Does anyone know if this is concurrent or if it means 10 incorrect passwords over a period of time?
Hope that makes sense!

No, but you can have one policy per group and put the user in multiple groups.
