Enable BES HTML
I'm running a BES server version 220.127.116.11 with Exchange 2003. We have about 17 users and im looking to enable HTML for some of our users. At first I would just like to enable my account so I can test it out. I've read up on it and read that i have to do the following.
- Login to your BES as the BES service account
- Extract files to a folder
- Bring up a command prompt and navigate to your folder
- Run the following command:
BBDBUpdate.exe -db <db name> -n <sql server name> -input EnableRichContent.sql
Can i extract a single user? where do I find out what Database we're using for this? we only have 17 users so i would assume its on the server itself. can the DB name and server name be the same? will this require reboot or any downtime?
**moved to the BES Admin section**
Upgrade to SP6 and also apply MR7 and you will be done and up to date as well.
IIRC SP5 was needed for the hack to work but since SP6 HTML has been available.
So after i install that patch everything will work fine? I wont have to extract the file and run that command? and configuration changes or setting changes? I think im still on SP2 so im jumping up a lot of SP's...
How to enable.

Dont worry all SPs are culmative so you can jump right to it.
read the SP instructions on the upgrade process.
there shouldnt be any issues if im going from SP2 HF1 all the way to SP6 MR7? ill restart all the BES services but will i need to reboot?
Then install MR7.
