We had a server crash for our BES server and have set up a new server for our users. The server is configured and I have been able to move almost half our users with no problems and they are syncing fine with the BES server. The other users I am not able to move as I get the following error:

"FAILED TO ACCESS THE MAILBOX FOR THIS USER"

I am not sure why this is working for some users and not others. Permissions for the BES admin are the same for all users so not sure why I am not able to move them.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I may try to resolve this issue?

Are they in different stores, different servers... got to be something in common with the ones that aren't being moved properly.

They are in the same store and the store is only on one server. I have not found anything different from the ones that worked to the ones that don't. Being that I had to set up a new server do the CAL's have to be reset up? Database has not had any changes.

I have yet to try this, but I don't believe BES will even nag you that you're over the license limit, let alone stop functionality. But yes, the CALs need to be removed from one server (or if it's dead, you can skip this), and installed on another.

CAL's are updated on the new server. We set up a new test email account and tried adding that to the BES server and had no problems with adding. We deleted a couple of the existing users thinking that it would allow us to set them back up but it gives us an error message when we do that:

"Failed to add user to the Blackberry Server. Unable to open mailbox for user. The user's mailbox may have been deleted."

All indications in the Blackberry Manager indicate that these users are working except that that they are not receiving their messages and we can not access their user. The policy time sent and recv'd is updating.

Is there something that needs to be changed on the database for these users that are not working? We have a total of 32 users, 13 work fine and 19 that don't. So this is really puzzling why it is happening?

I have also run the iemstest.exe on some users that are having issues and the tests all come back fine.
