Default Messages not showing on BB

Please Login to Remove!

We have recently had a rash of blackberries that basically quit receiving messages on the device only. They arrive in the users mailbox in Outlook and gets processed through the BES. I have checked with the providers and they do not show any issue with the accounts from there side. I can send from the device successfully both via email and Pin to Pin. I was able to receive a registration message when doing the register now opion under host routing table. I was also able to reset the password for the device via the BES. I have verified no rules are set on either the BES and Exchange servers and no rules are being run from the local machine that the user has. The only way we have found to fix this is to wipe the device, remove the user from the BES, add them back to BES, and finally wirelessly reactivate them.

Has anyone else seen this before and possibly know what might be causing this?

Thank you

the messages that "aren't arriving" at the bb... When you send the user one from a mail client... do you see the data arrows flashing in the top corner shortly after sending it?? Kind of like it is coming but you don't see it displayed after?? If so, does the unread message count go up but you can't find the message??

If so, click the 'u' key and see if it takes you to the oldest unread message and keep pressing it to go through them all. Lemme know.

from the BES: right click on a user>choose folders for redirection (or service access in the tasks section). chances are their inbox is not selected for redirection. (from the handheld: messages>options>email settings, push the menu button and choose folder redirection).

If it's randomly occurring then you're experiencing a known bug that is fixed in 4.1.6 MR7 (i'm assuming you're using regular bes and not bps or the small business versions).

Thank you RadHaz75; you are a very helpfull individual. It was the issue with the inbox not selected for redirection. Is that the bug you were referring to in the second section?

We are using a regular BES as well.

Thank you for your input as well Besadmin23.
