Question BES 5 Domino HA state databases replication

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

Can anyone share how do you setup replication of BlackBerry state databases on the Domino cluster for BES 5 HA solution. Is it possible to create state database replica automatically when new user added to the BES?

Thanks!

Hey BESAdminSMC, RIM has documented this in BES5.0 Install Guide:-

Link: Configure the IBM Lotus Domino servers for BlackBerry Enterprise Server high availability

Excerpts:-
Before you install the standby BlackBerry® Enterprise Server, you must configure the IBM® Lotus® Domino® servers to replicate data so that the standby BlackBerry Enterprise Server has access to the same data as the primary BlackBerry Enterprise Server has access to. You must create an IBM Lotus Domino cluster that includes the primary BlackBerry Enterprise Server and standby BlackBerry Enterprise Server and create a schedule for replicating data such as the BlackBerry state databases and BlackBerry profiles database.

The answers in the one coded RED.

Thanks for your response!

My question is actually "Is it possible to create state database replica automatically when new user added to the BES?". I ain't Domino expert thats why I am asking this question.

My bad. You will still need to manually create the replica on the standby server.
