Using a BES without a SIM card
My work phone is on the Telus network and doesn't require a SIM card. I have a Blackberry 9530 and am having issues syncing.
I look on our BES server and the rest of the enteries have Telus listed as the Active Carrier and when you go to properties you see the Blackberry device listed but in mine you don't.
The sync is basically stuck and my address book and other things are not coming over.
We are using BES 22.214.171.124 and I have Desktop Manager 5.0.
Do I need a SIM card or is there something else I need to do.
with a BES, you shouldnt need DTM. make sure that you have the correct plan. personal vs enterprise. you want the latter. Not sure how Telus works but I would contact your IT dept and conference in your carrier's Data support for assistance to make sure that the acct is setup properly.
Did you try a battery pull ? That seems to fix many problems.

try deleting the SYNC service book, wait 10 seconds and undelete the SYNC service book.
i don't think you ever completed enterprise activation. verify that you get through that 100% first...
