Default Event ID - 20196 and 20265 - 10-06-2009, 02:44 PM

Hello,

I have two clients with Exchange Servers and a Blackberry Enterprise Server. Both have a new user with a new phone to be added to BES. Neither will install the services and both are getting Event ID 20196 and 20265 errors logged in the Application log.

I have verified permissions on each BES and the particular user. I have other users working fine on each BES. I have created test accounts on both BES and these work fine.

It seems to be related to just these two accounts. I have looked for information on the web relating to these two event ids finding information pointing to the permissions which I have checked - again.

Can anyone shed any additional light on what these two event ids are trying to tell me? Any additional help/assistance is greatly appreciated.

Thank You.

Uncle Bo

Have you tried performing the IEMSTEST for the two mailboxes? If not, it would be recommended you do so.

Also, please ensure these mailboxes are not a part of Protected Group, which are:

* Administrators
* Account Operators
* Backup Operators
* Cert Publishers
* Domain Administrators
* Enterprise Administrators
* Print Operators
* Schema Administrators
* Server Operators

The following user objects also are protected:

* Administrator
* Krbtgt

If so, refer here: View Document

Hope it helps.

Cheers
