Default how to delete call logs through BES - 10-27-2009, 11:06 AM

I have a user wanting to delete call logs from device, but cannot figure out how to do it. Is there a way I can do this for him through the BES?

I don't believe it's possible from the BES.

Have the user go into their Messages folder, press Alt+P, Press T, press the Menu Key, select Delete Prior.

Messages folder = folder where all incoming/outgoing messages are stored.
Alt + P = Phone call logs
T = brings you to the top of the list.

You're welcome

Just to confirm, there is no way to delete the call logs from the BES.

QQ, what is the reason they wanted to delete the call logs?? If it has anything to do with Enterprise Activation taking a while, there is an IT policy you can enable that will not wirelessly backup just the call logs which in turn makes EA go way faster. Food for thought. If you want the policy, let me know.

That would be great if you could give me the policy. I'll pass it on to the people who work with the IT Policy. I manage the users, run enterprise activation, and customer service. Im not sure why the user wanted to remove the call logs, it was just a request sent to me in an email. Thank you so much for you help!

Sure, the IT Policy group is PIM Synchronization and the policy itself is Disable phone call logs wireless synchronization.
