Default Use BES to recover BIS personal messages

Curiosity question:

I have my BB connected to a BES server at work and also to BIS for my "personal" email account. Everything works great.

Question: Is it possible for folks at work to access the "personal" BIS delivered messages on the BB itself. Is there a full backup of the message store on the phone that resides on the BES? Is there any capability on the BES to access the message store directly on the phone and then access the "personal" messages?

Short of physical access to the phone. Is there any way to access the BIS delivered messages?

Thanks.

Welcome to the forums.

Simply put, no.

Thanks. The is the answer I was hoping for. Trying to decide whether to buy another phone for personal use. I know calls and SMS messages can be logged on the BES, just didn't know if it was possible to access the BIS delivered email.

That link is great. Thanks.

Personal opinion here. If it is a company device and/or on BES, I would not put any personal data on it whatsoever. Always assume the worst. If you have to have your own email, calls, etc, then get your own device.

Much easier and safer that way, IMHO. Especially if you are worried about it!

The BES admin could force all outbound email through their servers however - this can easily be logged.
