Default Can't Enterprise activate

Please Login to Remove!

User X's exchange account was moved from Domain A to Domain B, (different forests.)

He was removed from Domain A's BES, and then added to Domain B's BES.

However,

I cannot activate him on the new BES.

He has an exchange account on Domain B.

Any ideas?

I've tried wiping and removing his old data from the mail system (that dialog box that comes up after you delete the user from the BES)

Thanks in advance!

Do BES A and BES B share a database, or are they separate? I'm assuming separate.
Did you do a security wipe on the handheld?

Can we get a little more information first?

1. What is the BES version and environment?
2. Are you able to activate other users normally (for both BES's)?
3. How far does the activation get - does it timeout, do you get an error, etc?

also ensure that you have give the new exchange server the same rights as the old one. We have had issues with this before when bringing up a new exchange server.

A defaulted IP Policy would be good too.

Sorry for the lack of information - The group we are migrating has had issues with their old IT group, so info is sparse at best.

I was able to get the test account activated after wiping it - is there no other way?

When you move from one BES to a different BES which does not share the same database, the device must be security wiped first. (I'm assuming this is the case with your environment.)

If both BES use the same SQL database, then you can seamlessly move users between BES.

Is it possible to merge the one SQL database with the other?
