Default Double Entry in Contacts

Please Login to Remove!

I had an issues with the server that the BES was installed on and had to reload it. After that I had to do the Activate Enterprise. Everything is fine except I have all my contacts doubled.

How do I get rid of the double entry on the Contacts? If I go to my Contacts>Options I have 2 desktop options. One shows Wireless Sync = Yes and the other show Not Available. Is there a service book that I can delete to get rid of that?

That's a database corruption error.
If you're using Domino:
Delete the user from BES
Wipe the handheld
Go in the Domino Administrator and delete the State database from the server
Readd to BES and reactivate.

Dunno for Exchange... not my area.

Dont know, if this works in this case,
But, you can try to erease the address book, and, reload it from the server.
In the address book, go in the options, type blind: rset
The blackberry will ask you to confirm the deletion of the address book. Klick yes, wait.

If this does not help, erase the device, and perform an new enterprise activation as suggested before.

Well, I have wiped the handheld and tried to do a Activation and would not do. Did a delete and re-added user in BES. Tried Activation again and still no luck. Have tried to wipe all apps and EVERYTHING off the phone and still no go.

I have talked to BB support and have had me wipe 3 more times and still will not Activate. Phone will call, surf web and have checked with Nextel to make sure the provisions were on the phone. All were good.

Next step, roll down window, wait for big truck, throw and hope to hit the bumper with phone...

So, the problem is now, you cant activate the device wireless ?

What happens during the activation process on the BB ?

Have you tried activation via USB ?

If the activation is hanging at this point, its likely that:
The etp.dat message does not arrive in the exchange mailbox ( you are on exchange ?)
Test for sucessful delivery: shutdown the BES. Try an activation on the BB with a random password. About a minute later a message from RIM must show up in your inbox.

Or: the email arrives, and the BES gets it, but something is wrong with the mail (content changed, wrong email address or password)
You should see something in the logs if this is happening.

If you dont care about these problems, try usb first.

The other thing in this scenario is that a virus filter is blocking the activation email due to the attachment.
Another is that the mailbox is full and cannot accept additional emails.
