Default Bes 5.0 Interface, RIM are you kidding me?

Please Login to Remove!

I'm no longer the BES admin at my company, but today I looked at the new BES 5.0 interface... Based on my 20minutes experience I can't beleive what RIM has done. It takes like 10 minutes to retrieve an account from the web interface. I guess there is no option to have the old styple interface where you can see live accounts quickly? This is absolutely crazy. Please, tell me I'm missing something.

Wirelessly posted

We should beat it some more and hopefully RIM will get the message and create a rich client alternative to this crappy-ass, time wasting web interface that is so frigging comfusing and times out if you have to sneeze and wipe your nose.

I spoke to the senior RIM team last year at an event and voiced my annoyance with the management console now. The head engineer (forget his name) said it's a basic SQL view and they should be able to replicate BES 4.1 if people preferred that.

After 8 months on BES 5, I've adjusted to it but don't say I love it. Still confusing why some things are put where they are and agree it is much slower.
