Default BES and Outlook

At the moment I am using the BIC and sync'ing with Outlook for my calendar, tasks and contacts. We just got a BES here and I have the opportunity to connect to it if I want. We use Groupwise here. My question is, if I go on the BES can I still sync my calendar and contacts with Outlook or will it use Groupwise? Can I be set up so that all I receive is my Groupwise email, or is that something that would then affect everyone else on the BES? All the other users sync up with Groupwise, for a couple of reasons I don't want to use Groupwise for my conacts or calendar.
