I downloaded a free MIB Browser to my workstation and installed it. I set it to use the BlackberryServer.MIB file but when I attempt to get certain information from it, I receive an error saying "SNMP Request Timeout". I think everything is configured correctly within the browser on my workstation. I have it set to talk to the BES Server box. SNMP is running on the BES Server . I am not familiar enough with SNMP.

I called RIM for assistance in getting SNMP monitoring working (we are just trying to monitor a few OID's) but they will not assist because SNMP is not their product.

Can someone provide some basic configuration options that I need to make sure are set correctly to get this working ? I am stumped..

Do you have it set to the correct community? You want to look at "cim4ntaw" (without the quotes) intstead of public.

I change the read & write community strings to the strings that we use. They are configured on the server and within the MIB Browser I am using..
