Red face Rich Text not displaying in Email

Please Login to Remove!

Hello Everyone,

We have a BES that is setup and working good however we have an issue with all of our users displaying rich text emails on their phone. They are able to view HTML emails but not rich text emails. I see a setting on the BES that reads "Disable Rich Content Email" I have that set to "No" I have changed this setting several times and it does not make a difference. Has anyone encountered this issue? If so how did you resolve it? I have scoured the internet but i have not found a solution yet.

Thank you,

Jeff C.

As far as BES is concerned... Rich Text = HTML.
Not sure I'm clear on the problem you are having.

penguin3107,

Thanks for the quick response. In outlook 2007 when you create a new message if you go to Options you will see "Plain Text" "HTML" and "Rich Text". Any message set to Rich text (which is a setting for most everyone is our company, i think its MS default setting) the email content is not displayed.

Thanks,
Jeff C.

Ah... I doubt those will ever display properly on the BlackBerry.
That "Rich text" setting in Outlook is actually a Microsoft proprietary format. It will only look right on other Outlook clients, and in my experience should NEVER be used.
