|  Extra mailbox when activating????

When activating a phone it sometimes creates another mailbox (The one with the earthball). Not always but about 1 out of 10 times. why does it do this?? now the user has two mailboxes with the same mail in it??? any idea how to get it to stop doing that or remove the extra one???
Running BesXpress 5.0 and Exchange.
