Default How to get folders replicating to BB BESx5

Please Login to Remove!

OK I already have a bunch of BIS setup Blackberries but just built a new BESx server and received 5 new BB's (Bold 9700's).
I have been trying to use the BESx guide here... BlackBerry Enterprise Server Express for Microsoft Exchange - Manuals and Guides
... but all I have ended up with is new mail coming to the device, no history or folders.
I want to get the first one right before I go added the other 4 new ones and ultimately, converting all the BIS ones.
Anyone know where I am going wrong?

I should add I also do not see the calender or GAL...

ta, Brian.

Did you get an "Activation successfully completed" message? Sound to me that you might be missing some service books on the device.

It looks like the issue is more complex as have spent a large part of the last 2 days on the phone with O2 BB Support - we were able to activate one of our users mailboxes to their spare BB wirelessly (which was on an enterprise plan) but not to any of mine by wire (which are on BIS plan). Yesterday they went off with the logs to examine the errors.
Now we have just finished reinstalling Besx on the server and will try again.

This is now resolved - neither myself nor O2 BB support could put our finger on it but we rebuilt Besx and tried various things such as creating mapi profiles for every user and using Desktop Manager to activate then eventually it was doing it from BAS.
Wierd one.

I think I may be having a similar issue. A user all but detonated his device and required a new one. I was able to retrieve all the settings and prferences by activating with BES. User reported that his folders from a 4 month long case were now only showing messages since the replacement. None of his saved messages were present. Is that close to the issue that you had?

I have heard that some carriers will not allow BES activation with just BIS. You would need the Blackberry Enterprise Data plan. Just a thought.

That is an issue with prepopulation. You dont get all emails in folders or subfolder. You can however seacrh for them.
