Default Messages Being Delivered Unread

Please Login to Remove!

I suspect this may be a BES issue but as I am new to this I am not sure. Apologies to Mods if I have posted in the wrong forum.

If the device is switched off and the user is using their email as normal in Outlook / OWA when they then turn on the device all emails are delivered to it with an unread status even if they have been read and dealt with. If the Reconcile Now option is used then the read status updates....

Is there a way to get the emails delivered with the correct status in the first place?

this is by nature of the design. queuing new emails to be sent to the device and reconciliation (of read and deleted items) are 2 separate processes. anytime a new message arrives in a users inbox, it is queued to be sent to the users device as a new message. if the device is off, the queue will build. once the device is back on, the new messages will be sent to the device as... new messages. then, once the device goes to reconcile (which can take up to 20 minutes), then it will see the messages on the device, see that they are unread, and then mark them as so on the device.
Two months ago, I saw a provocative movie on cable TV. It was called The Net, with that girl from the bus.
