I was wondering If anyone has came across this similar issue or has any advice re troubleshooting.

Environment

BES 4.1.6 - Lotus Domino

Device

Blackberry 9700

v5.0.0.423 (Platform 5.1.0.116)


We have an Issue where the user is receiving duplicate calendar entry's on the BB, the entry's don't appear duplicated in Lotus Notes and aren't consistent in how they appear.

Some meetings appear twice whereas others don't , created on the device or within mail client.

Obvious checks have been made wireless enabled within calendar options , service books have been checked CICAL doesn't appear twice as I've seen mentioned on some posts.

Is it possible there is a compatibility issue with device V5 OS and our BES being on 4.1.6.

could be service book

Delete service book for calendar

on handset go to calendar>options>highlight desktop> type rset on Keyboard....

Have removed the service book but the issue remains.

Is there any known issues running a device with platform version 5.1.0 on our BES 4.1.6 I can't seem to find anything related on the web

I have quite a few 9700's on 4.1.6, only one of them has this issue.

I have seen cases before where Save/Replication Conflicts documents causing duplicate entries on the BlackBerry calendar. It's a little tricky checking calendar entries; you need to go under the "All Calendars" view within the Calendar screen in Lotus Notes. if not you can see them from the "All documents" view. Try clearing these conflict documents and your duplicate entries should clear in no time.

did you do the rset on the calendar? did the dups return?

Duplicates have returned , cannot see any Save/Replication Conflicts anywhere either.

Could upgrading the software platform be a solution?.

I have same issue , BES server same device is 9700 but we use exchange.

Duplicates on device when users change entrys ,

Crush, check to ensure your CDO file on the BES matches the CDO on exchange. Try to reload the user and do the rset on the calendar on the device. This should wipe out entries on the device and reload them.

Another known issue is with reoccuring meetings. See if thats what is duplicated. When a reoccuring meeting changes it has been known to duplicate on the device.

Check if this happened:-

Else do a RSET to clear and reload the appointments within device's Calendar application:-

All else tried and still has issue, could be an issue with the device's calendar database. Rebuild it using Method 1:-
