Hello Blackberry friends,

I face a problem with a customer that is activated on BES with Lotus Notes.
The contact synchronization is ok.
Also he wants the contacts from his Outlook on his Blackberry, which he is synchonizing with the Desktop Manager.

So after doing the synchronization with the Desktop Manager, the synchronization is successfull, but the Enterprise Activation on the Blackberry restarts.
This is anoing because the handheld is unavailable for a good hour or more.

Could it be that the Desktop Manager is installed as Redirector?

On the BES, is wireless synchronisation of that user's contacts showing as enabled?

Also, what model and OS is the handheld?

I'm just trying to understand what your user is doing here - he is trying to synch his notes address book OTA and an outlook address book over the wire?!
So he has installed Desktop Manager and taken the Exchange BES option? Or the Domino BES option?

Yes everything is enabled on BES.

When synching with Outlook he swiches the wireless synchronization off, does the synchronization and after enabling the wireless synchronization the enterprise activation process restarts.

I asked him to reinstall the Desktop Manager with Blackberry Internet Service option.

That will help, having it installed for an Exch BES will cause issues.

Does he have 2 seperate contacts address books on BB, or is it merging all into one?

I'll ask him that.
