Default Moving BPS to a new domain and EX2003 to EX2007

Please Login to Remove!

I have done some searching, but I can't find this particular scenario so I wanted see if others had any suggestions. My company has merged with another and we are moving both companies to a new domain in a new forest. The new domain will be running EX2007. My current environment is EX2003 with Blackberry Professional Server 4.1.4.3. I am trying to figure out the best way to migrate the BPS Server to the new domain and attach it to the new server. I was planning on using ADMT to migrate the server, use a BESAdmin account on the new domain, and the repoint the BPS. That may be too simplistic and I am unsure the best way to change the server. Is the process for BES and BPS the same when it comes to moving to a new server? Should I just reinstall all together?

Thanks for any help!

if not in the same Exchange org, you will have to uninstall and install as new on 2007 which will require wiping the devices before activating on the new BPS instance.

Thanks. Are there any special steps needed to decommission the current BPS? Just reinstall with the same serial and licenses?

Do I need to install BPS on 64-bit windows for EX2007? I though I read that somewhere.

Thanks.

BPS does knot have to be installed on the exchange server, but it is supported.
