Default Messaging Agent to Attachment Connector Port

Please Login to Remove!

Does anybody know what port is used by the BlackBerry Messaging Agent to communicate with the Attachment Connector in the BlackBerry Attachment Service?

I am creating a Visio document with all the BlackBerry services/components showing the ports they use to communicate with each other but I cannot find the port used by the BlackBerry Messaging Agent to communicate with the Attachment Connector.

take a look at your blackberry server configuration on the attachment server tab you should find the information there.

I found three ports:

1999 TCP - connects the Attachment Service to the "BlackBerry Server Configuration" control panel applet.

1900 and 2000 TCP - these are the two ports I am not sure about. The BlackBerry document desn't specify if these are two ports used inside the Attachment Service, to communicate between the attachment connector and the attachment server, or are ports used by the Attachment Service to communicate with the BlackBerry Messaging Agent. If they are used inside the Attachment Service what port(s) does the Attachment Service use to communicate with the BlackBerry Messaging Agent?

Appendix B of the Maintenance Guide describes the Ports (as crowdienz stated them):

I have the Attachment Connector and Attachment Server connected via the 1900 TCP and 2000 TCP ports. The Attachment Service connects to the BlackBerry Server Configuration control panel applet via port 1999 TCP.

According to the BlackBerry documentation I got when I got certified by RIM the Attachment Service connects to the BlackBerry Messaging Agent but the Maintenance Guide lists no connection between the BlackBerry Messaging Agent and the Attachment Service.

Anybody know how the BlackBerry Messaging Agent communicates with the BlackBerry Attachment Service?
