Default Re-activating after mailbox move in Exch 2003

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

We have a BES 4.1 server in NY for an Exchange 2003 env that services 4 sites/offices.

Recently we added a 2nd Exchange 2003 server in our Chicago office and found that after moving mailboxes from the 1st server to the new server, the BES wouldn't sync/activate. After correcting the permissions on the new server for the BES service account and confirming with IEMSTest.exe, BB's were able to activate.

However, BB's for moved mailboxes still do not sync and a wipe handheld is needed. Is there a way to avoid this?

Thanks,

John

We had the same issue after we moved a few users mailboxes. As I understand it, the rescan can be initiated either by a reboot of bes, or by following the procedure outlined in RIM kb000142. This kb focus' is on moves of mailbox from one mail store to another on the same server.

I just noticed the bottom of that kb talks about a move to a different server, and the use of handheldcleanup.exe
