Our Company's BES is hosted by a third party. We've been conducting failover testing of our Notes mail servers (ver 8.5 and they're clustered) and things worked fine for 24 hours. Last night things went to crap and our BES hosting vendor told us that BES failover in our environment does work but only for a period of time. We were further told that this is a known issue on BES. I'd never heard of "time-limited" failover - either failover works (with minor bugs) or it doesn't. Although it seems like a steaming pile of malarkey, can any validate this? If this is a known issue, then is it arguable that BES is not a superior product in terms of automatic failover?
