I have a user that has a personal BB on a BIS account and they want to connect to our BES 5.0.1 server? I did some searches and it seems that I can connect a BIS BB to the BES but it seems to be a pull-only config. Is this true. Does this mean the user has to initiate a replication on the BB to check for new messages?

I just want to know what to tell this person. I usually just tell them it cannot be done unless your BB is provisioned for enterprise usage.

Activating on your BES won't affect the user's BIS account at all, unless you as the BES admin specifically choose to block it.

My question is, will his BB work on our BES, just like a enterprise provisioned BB?

What are the limitations of a BIS BB?

Are you running BES Express, or the full version of BES?

I hae someone hounding about their BIS Blackberry and I need an answer for him. I just just need to know if it can work on our BES and if so what are the limitations.

If not, I am just going to inform him that he has to get it changed over to an Enterprise provisioned account.

No, your user can't use a BIS data plan and activate on your BES.
If you had BES Express, then they could... but since you have full BES, they can't.

That's why I asked the question.
